CM BROWN (PREVIOUSLY SIGNED WORK CC KEY), ARTIST STATEMENT/BIO For as long as my memory extends, I have viewed the world around me in many layers of color. My eyes were always
drawn to contrasts of color in surrounding landscapes. My notebooks were full of sketches, drawings and ideas, always harboring
an intense desire to create. Inevitably, I became an artist. Being self taught has enabled me to create works using unconventional
methods and styles. Pulling images and colors from the minds eye, I often customize paints, brushes, and tools to create the
desired effect on canvas. With each piece I hope to capture a few of Florida's many layers of color, including natural greens
and umber infused with man’s bright reds and purples. I hope my art will make you smile, relax or think of a happier
place and that it will inspire you to turn your eyes to the landscape and see it for the kaleidoscope of colors that it has
become.
